“Resonances” is a lab born through the exercises and practices I develop during my experience as a contemporary dancer, improviser, performer and, currently, as a dance artist and creator.
At the beginning of my professional career, improvisation represented a source of research into movement. The study of movement furnished the qualities of my proposals for the choreographers and artistic directors I worked with at that time. Today it becames the central axis of my preparations and creations.
The laboratory consist on a training designed to strengthen the dancer’s synchronization of body and mind toward improvising as a soloist or as part of a collective for a piece of dance, performance or artistic projects.
The structure of the laboratory uses improvisation and contact as channels of communcation between bodies in order to establish dialogues in motion. It involves the recognition of physical parameters, space architecture, practices for the expansion and tonicity of the body, together with rhythmic and breathing patterns to complete the cycle.
The lab is aimed at professional dancers and students, or other artistics disciplines related to movement, looking forward to explore and identify the nature of our gestuality. From where it comes and to where it lead us.
Duration: from 1:30h to 3h.
Duration: 3h per day, during 5 days.
Duration: 5h per day, during two days.
Resonances is a proposal for dancers and dance students or other disciplines related to the movement. Even so, the proposal can be adapted according to the working group: Children, Junior, Senior, teachers or companies.
Adapted dynamics will be created around communication, listening and cooperative work. Where we will create communication links through the movement, generating creative and coexistence spaces.
“Place the right words where their belong, it’s not about all of us talking at the same time, even if not talking, maybe just find a common silence or having the intention of wanting to listen.”
